Job description

CIS is an international family-owned company, based in Marseille, founded in 1992 and publicly listed.

In the most remote, hostile, or logistically complex environments, we provide catering, hospitality, and Facilities Management services for the energy, mining, and construction sectors.

CIS operates in more than 20 countries (Africa, LATAM, Central Asia) and manages 380 operational sites, generating over 420 million euros in revenue in 2024. The CIS group employs more than 16,000 staff members from 56 nationalities, 99% of whom are local employees.

Having secured a new contract in Mongolia, we are looking for our Operations Manager (DOP) to manage this new site. The site will accommodate 150-200 POB. This position is progressive, with a dual focus on operations and business development. After 3-4 training sessions within our various subsidiaries and sufficient business development in the country, you will be led to take on the role of Country Director.

Objective: Ensure the smooth running of the operations in accordance with the directives of the country management or the Head Office (accordingly).

 

Operation aspects : 

  • Implement management, control, and administration procedures on the site. Respect the budget limitations on all operations.
  • Monitor ongoing contracts and potential developments with the client.
  • Guarantee the proper execution of the contracts.
  • Provide a monthly summary of the results of site activities.
  • Forward the reports on different sites to the Country Director or to the VP Operations & Business Development respectively.
  • Forward the monthly financial projections to the Head Office.
  • Draw up commercial proposals/quotations.
  • Prepare activity reports.

 

Business Devlopment aspect : 

  • On an ongoing basis, undertakes all appropriate direct (or joint) commercial actions to negotiate and win any significant catering contracts from identified targets.
  • Analyses the market targeted by the company and provides a detailed view of it, by business segment, by customer, by area, and proposes concrete plans for short-term commercial actions.
  • Works in advance of major calls for bids to create a network of contacts and have the best assets to respond successfully to these calls for bids.
  • Prepares, alone or as a project leader, the responses to these calls for bids.
  • Identifies and proposes partnerships and/or commercial agreements.
  • Strengthens the company's positions in its clients' target businesses (oil, mining, engineering, military).

Profile

 

  • Fluent in English - Mongolian is a Plus 
  • Strong administrative skills (back to back with the Financial director of the country)
  • Minimum 7 years of catering experience : experience on starting a project - skills on catering and kitchen 
  • Experience in a similar position.
  • Commercial spirit, strong resistance to pressure.
  • Well-developed interpersonal spirit; team management and team-building skills.

 

Job based on ULAN BATOR + site at 3hours 

Rotation system :  5 MONTHS ON - 1 MONTH OFF
